I assume most of us are on new books since last we checked, so I decided its time for an update

I am currently reading "Time and the Gods". It is a collection of short stories written by the master fantasist Lord Dunsany. (Yes, he was actually of Irish nobility.) Not only does he have an amazing life story, but his works are some of the best pieces of fantasy I have ever read. His novel, "The King of Elflands Daughter" is an unparalleled masterpiece in its beautiful imagery ...

Sorry for being MIA for a while.

I've been sick a lot and just been hanging out with a few friends (which I've almost never done before in my life since I'm such a negative Nancy and a Debbie downer). Plus I've been playing WoW a lot.

Well, I've pretty much found the problem while I've been sick so much. I'm lactose intolerant. Every food I've been eating has pretty much been making me go through a lot of pain. In cutting down on the milk products, I've actually gotten a lot better. ...

OK, since I'm getting out of school tomorrow (FINALLY!!!), I've got summer vacation to look forward to! And since I'm going to be a senior next year, I'm still feeling great about 2009-2010! Here are a couple of goals and plans I've got going for me right now...and as of now, I want these to be done by the end of the summer:

Goals:

1. Write a 4-movement brass quintet highlighting the four elements (I've finally figured out what to do with those damn things!)

2. Try to start writing a novella ...

So, I've been having really bad left side pains frequently, and at one point it got so bad I was about to tell my mom to take me to Urgent Care. (Actually, I was in the downstairs bathroom and she was upstairs, so I probably would've screamed it.) So anyway, as much as I hate the doctor's office in general, and the last time I'd been there I went to see my mom's doc, who's a total asshat, I went there today (and saw another nicer doc).

When I'm unaware of things that may be happening around me, I somehow end up hearing my name being whispered over whatever commotion is going on around me. So, I was wondering what you guys were reading right now? What's on your must read list?

I just got done reading The Gargoyle by: Andrew Davidson. It's a great book. Different, but definitely worth the read. I'd recommend checking it out.

I'd love to hear what's gracing your guys' bookshelves!

It was slowly developing from steaming piles of feces, to stuff even I wouldn't mind reading. But I stopped writing about a month ago, letting school get on top of me, and now I just can't start again. Every time I try to write something I end up loathing it.

When you're an avid reader, you just don't want to sell no books you have. It's a rather well-known musical (music by Stephan Schwartz - ahh~ ) that is a retelling of the Gospel According to St. Matthew (which I think is pretty cool, considering I'm a Christian myself). Well, I'm in it this year in high school and I'm taking the role that was originally Lamar, meaning I get to sing the awesome song "All Good Gifts"!!!
